June Academic Service-Learning Spotlight

Check out the June 2012 Academic Service-Learning Spotlight!

As a teaser, here are our favorite quotes…

[The A S-L project] was a wonderful way to come together in the spirit of service…We all walked away from the experience with a profound respect for the heroic spirits that we encountered in both the patients and the therapists.

   – Ron Ives

This has been the most dynamic group I have ever worked with at FAU CON.  They were truly interested in the needs of their community sites…and completed their selected tasks with joy.  I could not be more proud of this group of students.

– Professor Rebecca Koszalinski

Each day that the students assisted in our day to day activities, offered both Students and Pathways Participants a wonderful learning experience.

– Jeanne Penny, Pathways to Independence

Congratulations to Professor Koszalinski, Ron Ives and the rest of her NUR 4638L course, and Pathways to Independence for their wonderful work in Academic Service-Learning!
